Starting Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena, the Leafs will square off with the New Jersey Devils three times over the final 12 regular season contests.
Jay Rosehill was back in the mix for the <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIGSlRiDJQA">Tuesday edition of Leafs Morning Take</a>. We kicked off the show by discussing the upcoming postseason and getting ‘playoff ready.’ In a perfect world, Rosey would like to see the Leafs playing their best hockey entering the Stanley Cup Playoffs, which are expected to get underway on April 20th.
Presented by DoorDash, for the Appetizer, we focused on some of the news and notes from the morning skate. Most notably, Morgan Rielly and Joel Edmundson weren’t on the ice. The former’s considered a game-time decision while the latter will get the night off due to injury. Meantime, we briefly discussed Mitch Marner’s status. He’s been updated to day-to-day, which obviously is great to see.
After that, brought to you by Tim Hortons, we dissected everything surrounding the crease. Firstly, Joseph Woll will get the call against the Devils. Secondly, Ilya Samsonov took some shots before practice, so it looks like he’s fine after leaving Saturday night’s game against Edmonton. Also, for the first time this season, Matt Murray joined the main group for practice. Interesting developments.
