We kicked off the show by our giving our initial thoughts on Wednesday night’s abomination. Long story short, we both think the series is done. That said, there’s still time for the Leafs to suck us back in. This is headed for seventh heaven, right?</p>
<p>After that, we broke down everything from the post-game commentary to the on-ice product. Full disclosure: Neither was pretty. It’s perplexing that this team – once again – was unable to rise to the occasion in a pressure cooker situation. They didn’t even show up. Along those lines, Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews were arguably Toronto’s two worst players. That’s no exaggeration, either. Like, how does that happen? Any way you slice it, that may have been Marner’s final home game as a Maple Leaf. What a way to potentially go out. Additionally, we talked about the goaltending and Toronto’s lack of desperation, urgency, and killer instinct. Honestly, it was the same conversation that we’ve been having for years now.</p>

Having said all that, he still gives them a shot of coming back. We’ll see what happens in Game 6, I guess.</p>
